The Discovery 1100 metal detector is the first in the Discovery range from Bounty Hunter. It is an beginner to intermediate level metal detector that features both audio and visual target identification, digital controls, LCD display and more.

It will detect coin-sized objects to up 6” (15cm) deep; while larger objects can be found much deeper. The advanced discrimination features make it great for finding coins, metals, relics and more This a brilliant entry level detector.

Standard Bounty Hunter design features include a built-in speaker, adjustable aluminium stem with ergonomic s-rod handle, padded armrest and comfortable hand-grip. This strong, lightweight machine will let you comfortably treasure hunt for hours at the beach, park or in the bush.

Hey can this detector, pick up gold? I have property in the Bush in a mining town and I wanna try my luck. I don’t want anything to expensive. I wanna give it ago and see if I enjoy it.

Thank you for your question about the Bounty Hunter Discovery 1100 metal detector. This detector is aimed at finding coins, relics and treasure. While any metal detector can technically find gold, not all can handle the mineralisation of gold bearing ground and can become chatty or give off false signals.

When searching for gold you need a more specialised detector.

Hi,
Yes the Bounty Hunter Discovery 1000 Metal Detector has a waterproof search coil, so searching in water is not a problem. It is important to note that the control box is not waterproof so can not be submerged. When detecting in water just make sure you keep the control box above the water line.
