QUESTIONS & ANSWERS
Ask a Question-
Hi there, I'm looking for a metal detector for a very active 75 year old . This will just be for interest , but I don't want to go to the top end in price. I was looking at either the bounty hunter lone star pro or the Technetics . I'd like one that is easy to read and operate. I'm a little confuse as to the "1100, 2200, 4000" does this refer to the quality of the detector? Meg
Hello Meg,
Thank you for your questions. The Bounty Hunter Lone Star Pro is a great detector and is not a difficult one to use. It is good for treasure, coin and relic hunting and comes with a 5 year, Australian warranty.
The numbers you mentioned are just different model numbers and don't relate to the quality of those detectors.
There are a few other factors to consider when chosing a detector such as where it will be used and the types of targets he is looking for.
It would be great if you could send us an email at info@detectorsdirect.com.au with a little bit more information so we can help you find the best detector for his needs.

My main criteria is that it has to be light is it suitable for a 10 year old
Hi Sandra,
Great question. Yes the Bounty Hunter Lone Star Pro is really lightweight, at just over 1kg, making it a great detector for younger detectorists.
